I started from Qingdao and drove to Weihai for a trip. Halfway through the highway, I suddenly saw the sign of Rushan Silver Beach. Although Rushan is so close, I have never been there, so I got off the highway directly and headed for the Thumb Square of Rushan Silver Beach.

After getting off the highway at Rushan East Toll Station, we soon arrived at Rushan Yintan and found that this is a great place for camping. There are many parking lots, both free and paid. There are also many RVs and motorhomes parked here for camping, and it seems that they have been there for many days.

The beach of Rushan Silver Beach is very large. There are many entertainment facilities and cartoon ornaments on the beach where you can take photos. There are also colorful windmill houses and seaside swings. You can also take a boat out to sea and experience the sea speedboat.

While playing here, I happened to meet some celebrities who happened to be here. They were recording a program and were preparing to take a speedboat out to the island opposite. There were also many fans here.

In the afternoon, we set out from Rushan and continued to Weihai. The first goal of this visit to Weihai was to see the stranded giant ship – the Bluevis shipwreck. The last time I came to Weihai, there was no such shipwreck. This freighter has not been towed away after it ran aground here. Because it is very photogenic, it has gradually become a tourist attraction.

Leaving the Bruweis shipwreck and heading towards Weihai city, the Naxianghai scenic area is not far away. It was already evening when I arrived at Naxianghai, and tourists were gradually dispersing from the beach. There are many beach projects in Naxianghai, which is very suitable for spending a day to slowly experience.

My first day’s itinerary ended here. I went to Han Le Fang in the evening. At first glance, Han Le Fang sounded like a place related to music, but it is actually a famous snack street in Weihai. We stayed nearby at night. Accommodation in Weihai needs to be booked in advance. At this season, the hotel is basically fully booked every day.

There are many seaside parks in Weihai. On the second day, I started my trip from Kowloon Bay Park, along the coastal highway, passing the Sea Park, Yuehai Park, Weihai Park, all the way to Xingfumen Square. It was raining in Weihai today. Although it was a rainy day, there were still many tourists on the beach. We put on raincoats, fed seagulls all the way in the rain, and stayed near Xingfumen Square at night.

In this day’s itinerary, there are three places I recommend you to visit, namely the lighthouse in Yuehai Park, the big photo frame in Weihai Park, and Xingfumen Square. These three are basically the landmark buildings of Weihai, and parking nearby is very convenient. But if you want to catch the sea, then go to Kowloon Bay Park.

On the third day, we set out from Xingfumen, passing Haiyuan Park, Half Moon Bay Beach, Huanhai Road, Golden Beach, Torch 8th Street to end today’s trip and return to Qingdao in the evening.

Haiyuan Park is quite large, with many boats parked on the sea, which is great for taking videos or photos. The key is that there are very few people here, which is very suitable for us who come to Weihai during the peak season.

This is the shuttle bus departure point at the entrance of Half Moon Bay Beach. These scenic area shuttle buses go to Maotou Mountain. You cannot drive up Maotou Mountain in this season. You must take the shuttle bus of this scenic area. It should be possible to drive there after mid-October, so I did not go to Maotou Mountain and continued along the coastal road.

We passed Grape Beach and Golden Beach in the middle. The last stop in Weihai was Torch 8th Street, which I felt was the most crowded place on this trip to Weihai. It felt crowded just standing on this small road, not to mention taking pictures of the road leading to the sea with no people.

What to eat in Weihai? Of course, it’s the seafood in Weihai. You can eat very good food for less than 100 yuan per person, such as 29 yuan for a five-fresh seafood pot sticker, 38 yuan for a conch platter, 58 yuan for a prawn, and 38 yuan for a seafood dumpling soup. This is a restaurant I saw on the way back to the hotel from the Weihai Park Big Photo Frame.

Finally, here are 3 suggestions for you who are planning to come to Weihai:

1. Weihai rains a lot, so please prepare a disposable raincoat with you, because it is windy at the beach and holding an umbrella alone will not provide any rain protection. Raincoats are also sold at the beach in Weihai, and they cost 20 yuan each if you buy them on site.

2. Accommodation in Weihai is tight, so it is recommended to book in advance. If you are traveling by car, you can consider staying near the Marine Park so that there will not be too much congestion. The tour routes are two routes around the sea to the left and right, which can be completed in two to three days respectively.

3. When visiting Weihai beach, Naxianghai is the most recommended. Although it is far from the city center, it is very playable. If you want to go to the beach, go to Jiulongwan Park, bring a pair of rain boots, catch crabs, and dig. A day will pass quickly.
